Economic Research and Analysis
• Studied Indian Current Account Sustainability, measuring its level and empirical link with economic factors. Utilized statistical methods, including density function and threshold models.
• Introduced a new information flow process to capture foreign exchange transactions in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) to refine

India’s balance of payments (BoP) statistics.
• Analyzed IT export survey data for item non-response using linear mixed models.
• Contributed to monthly State of the Economy articles by compiling and analyzing data from banking, corporate surveys, and external sectors.

 

Data Compilation and Mentorship
• Responsible for BoP statistics compilation, data analytics, consistency checks, and high-value transaction confirmation with banks, including estimates for bilateral service trade.
• Mentored summer and research interns on topics including the gravity model, revealed comparative advantages in India’s service trade, and data visualization with Power BI.
